The UsMob team is currently running workshops throughout Australian schools and community groups. The workshops are aimed at skilling youth in video production and website development. This intensive training program encourages engagement with new technologies, basic literacy development and basic new media skills.
This hands-on program will train youth in video and new media skills as they produce short videos and animations that can be uploaded onto the My Mob section of the Us Mob site. The short pieces produced at the workshops are typically a hybrid mix of video, still photos and animation. Workshops can also involve the creation of web-based photo galleries as well as the production of streaming audio clips.
